RESERVE YOUR PRIVATE CHARTER WITH CONFIDENCE

Reservations and Payment

Your reservation can be made online and is fully refundable if canceled 14 or more days before departure. If weather prevents sailing as determined by the captain, you may choose a full refund or reschedule to another available date.

Because Blue Yonder offers a limited number of private charters each season, reservations are paid in full at the time of booking.

You will receive confirmation of your reservation and payment. All major credit cards are accepted.

Safety

For the safety of all aboard, each passenger must review and sign the Blue Yonder Sail Charters Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnification Agreement prior to boarding.

Cancellations

We understand that plans sometimes change.

  • 14 or more days before your charter: Full refund of all payments made.

  • 7–13 days before your charter: 50% refund of all payments made.

  • Less than 7 days before your charter: Nonrefundable.

Because our sailing season is short and charter dates are limited, we are often unable to rebook cancellations made on short notice.

Weather

Your safety and enjoyment are our highest priorities. If your captain determines that weather conditions are unsuitable or unsafe for sailing, Blue Yonder Sail Charters will work with you to either:

  • Reschedule your charter to another available date, or

  • Provide a full refund of all payments made.

Weather-related decisions are made solely by the captain.

Gratuity

Gratuities are never expected but are always appreciated. Guests who enjoy their experience often choose to leave a gratuity of 15–20% for their captain. Gratuities may be provided by cash, check, Venmo, or credit card.

If you are itching to get out on the water and find yourself in or around North Haven, make sure you give Capt. Joel a call! I had the pleasure of spending a unforgettable afternoon and evening aboard the Tammy Norie! Joel is a responsible and laid back Captain. From the moment you come aboard, it is evident you are safely in the care of a seasoned veteran. He was more than happy to let me take the helm, as we took advantage of great wind and sailed past the rugged Sparkplug/Goose Rock Lighthouse and over to explore Seal Bay in Vinalhaven. As we sailed back to the harbor, the views of Isle Au Haut and even Stonington off in the distance, were only topped by a gorgeous Maine sunset. On top of snacks and beverages, Joel served up a wide array of local knowledge about the surrounding area and happily answered all of my many questions!
